Galveston County WCID #12 is not required by the TCEQ to institute a prohibition on outside watering at this time. Voluntary water conservation is highly encouraged, and we ask our customers to do everything they can to conserve water. Please minimize your outdoor water use. Do not water your lawn and landscape during daylight hours, rather set timers for watering between 10:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. every 3-4 days if possible.
During extreme drought conditions, we frequently may have a number of water breaks and leaks. If you see a water leak, please contact us quickly so we may repair and conserve this precious resource.
For more information on Water Conservation Plan and Drought Contingency Plan, please see: www.gulfcoastwaterauthority.com (look under tab named Reports and Data).

The following are helpful hints we hope will both impact your water bill, and give you the knowledge to contribute in conserving one of our nation’s greatest resources. In addition to item #2, we are happy to provide “Checking for Water Leaks Tablets”, which can be picked up at our District Office, at your convenience.
